Originally into
punk rock, Nuremberg, Germany's GLOBAL got in Touch with Jungle/Drum
and Bass early in 1996. After hearing The Prodigy and an old Happy
Hardcore-tape, he started going to parties and was eventually
infected by the rhythm, drive and energy of "broken beats".
He soon
began collecting vinyl and in 2004 began to equip himself with the
necessary equipment for being a DJ. Soon after he would try his hand
seriously at local clubs. Even though GLOBAL draws inspiration from
a wide variety of musical styles and influences, his roots in punk
rock remain a major driving force in terms of the rawness and energy.
An element he also finds in Drum and Bass. GLOBAL takes great care
incorporating variety into his sets, and seeks to continually
improve his skills on the decks.
Remaining versatile, DJ GLOBAL can
spin smooth and chilled sets in a bar environment just as tight, as
he is able to throw down a hard, danceable mix for the "headz".
